We opened the show with Dr William Alexander who is with the Morehouse School of Medicine. He gave our listeners a great explanation of the H1N1 flu that is spreading around Atlanta and the rest of the country. He talked about the importance for business owners to prepare now. Their is a high probability that a good number of your employees and their children will get the flu in the next few months.  Leave policy flexibility will become critical if a severe flu outbreak occurs. Next Shelly Weidner from Simon Property Group’s Director of Mall Marketing & Business Development for Town Center at Cobb was on to discuss the latest goings on at her mall. there is a big fashion show benefiting the Strand  and a Youth Foundation For Education Bowling event coming up. Shelly says they have a popular mall walking program and are very involved with schools giving them a place to perform.  And Santa is coming to the mall about 1 week after Halloween – so bring your kids to the mall soon. Next Allan Vella General Manager for the Fox Theatre came on to discuss the historic Fox. The Fox is one of the finest and most popular places to see a show. The Fox is a non-profit organization owned by Atlanta Landmarks. Each year you can go see: Broadway shows, concerts, kids shows, ballet, movies and international events.  They try and have something for everyone.
